Valérie Stammet is a Luxembourgish soprano based in the Netherlands. She graduated cum laude with a Master’s degree in vocal performance from the Conservatorium Maastricht in 2024, after earning her Bachelor’s degree there in 2021 under the guidance of Yvonne Schiffelers. Her artistic focus lies in oratorio, Lied, and ensemble repertoire. Currently, she is following private voice lessons with Ingeborg Danz, since November 2025.

Since September 2024, she has been a member of the Young Bach Fellowship at the Nederlandse Bachvereniging, taking part in various projects across the Netherlands.

As a soloist, she recently performed major works by J.S. Bach with the Utrecht Studenten Koor en Orkest: the Matthew-Passion in February 2026, the Hohe Messe in June 2025, the Johannes-Passion in March and April 2024 and the Weihnachtsoratorium in December 2024. On the operatic stage, she appeared as Lory in the revival of the Luxembourgish operetta An der Schwemm by Lou Koster, performed in early 2024 at the Théâtre d’Esch-sur-Alzette and the CAPE in Ettelbruck.

Deeply engaged in Lied repertoire, Valérie has been working since September 2023 as part of Duo Lys with pianist Liliane Silva. Together, they gave a recital at the Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven in January 2025, followed by a performance at Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht in February 2025.

In May 2025, Valérie co-organized a project with pianist Liliane Silva and tenor Pascal Franssen. Titled Journey to Middle Earth, the project took the form of a week-long tour of five concerts across the Netherlands, featuring Donald Swann’s song cycle The Road Goes Ever On and selections from the film score of The Lord of the Rings.

She also performs regularly with Dutch organist Poppeia Berden. Their recent concerts include the Grote Kerk in Vianen in August 2024 and the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht in July 2025.

As an experienced ensemble singer, Valérie has been performing regularly with Studium Chorale, a professional chamber choir based in Maastricht under the direction of Hans Leenders, since April 2023.
